In order to support the export of the Chinese
cultural products and services, increase the competitiveness of the Chinese
products, enhance the international influence of the Chinese culture, change
the unbalanced situation of import and export of the Chinese cultural products,
in 2007, the Ministry of Culture presented awards to 9 outstanding Chinese
cultural enterprises and 18 outstanding Chinese exports and items, and offered
prizes to part of the outstanding Chinese enterprises, exports and items.
The awarded enterprises are from Beijing, Shanghai, Liaoning,
and Sichuan, etc. Some of them are state-owned enterprises and some are
cooperative enterprises. The awarded items covered various categories such as
martial arts, acrobatics, ballet, shadow play, puppet show, etc. These
outstanding enterprises have opened doors and channels to the world market
through their great efforts in many aspects. The success of these outstanding
items in foreign countries showed us the good trend of the export of Chinese
cultural products and items. Since it was transformed into an enterprise in
2004, China Performing Arts Agency has sent more than 290 items of performing
art to overseas market and has staged more than 21,000 performances in over 60
countries and regions all over the world. The on-site audiences were more than
28 million.
Upon the opening of the 4th China (Shenzhen) International
Cultural Industries Fair, the Website of China Cultural Industries
(www.cnci.gov.cn) specially released this special report to promote the awarded
outstanding Chinese export enterprises and outstanding Chinese exports and
items.
